Job Hunting Stage Again

Here are some thoughts during the job transition period.

If they don't respond to your application, it only means that you probably knocked on the wrong door. That does not always mean you are not good enough. Do not ever link nonresponsiveness to self-worth.

It just feels like I came to the middle-age crisis earlier. People in their 30s, 40s, and 50s share the same anxiety and depression. (found out on the Thread, a trendy social application) These months' gap could be a blessing (or a double-edged sword) for me, to reflect on multiple things.

Why did I quit a coveted position? Always remember your WHY.

Advantages: decent salary, hybrid job model, pleasant working vibe, friendly colleagues.

Disadvantages: less meaningful, mismatched long-term career paths, less sense of satisfaction (some colleagues do not appreciate the system we monitored), not professional enough (not so much industrial knowledge required)

I think I was tired at that time. All neutral things are negative to me; I want the END. It may sound a little bit capricious, naive.

I have experienced life in an international company, a dream job for younger me. Afterwards, I want something new. Hence, I simply throw myself into the labor market again.

What is the next? Start with WHYNOT

Safe and interesting: Product Manager, Project Manager, or Advanced Sourcing. Must be sth new/different or senior level.

Fun but less cash: Editor. (I may prefer to split my hobbies from my job)

It is a balance between market value and hobby. There must be one which lies between interest and market value, right?

I also consider the entrepreneur, a self-owned business. I cannot afford to lose the funding. (Mortage things..)

Some introspection thoughts.

When things deviate from my expectations- Mindset Adjustment, Keep Positive

Realizing a job is a formality in the capital market unless you work for yourself. Do not take it seriously.

Realize and confess that an individual cannot always be ambitious. not realistic.

My recommendations to the older me: think twice before naked resignation, unless it is a health issue. Family responsibility grows with age. Parents are getting old. It is their time to get rest.

Face my own problem and figure out a solution. You can take a longer vacation, and communicate with your boss/ colleagues.

Besides, you need to get used to BEING REJECTED while not losing faith in yourself. No one but you is the most authentic cheerleader in this life. Get familiar with hard feelings but never put yourself on the bottom of the totem pole. A thing related to the self-esteem.

Do not settle for less; be faithful to what you genuinely love. Otherwise, there is a high chance you might step out again. •﹏•

Lastly, it is always adorable to look back on those life segments of the previous year. I am establishing my own memoir!😍
